Please read the "Event" page of this website very carefully in order to familiarise yourself with the regulations and guidelines surrounding this competition.
There are two live events available (taking place on the same day) for all FOBISIA member schools to submit entries for:
Lower Secondary (KS3, Ages 11-14)
Upper Secondary (KS4&5, Ages 14-18)
The live competition will be held at Denla British School, Thailand, and will follow this itinerary:
Thursday, 29 January 2026: Bands arrive at Bangkok and check-in to Kalanan Riverside Resort. A welcome meal will take place at 18:00 for all performers and teachers. Key people involved in the event, such as judges and workshop leaders, will also be present.
Friday, 30 January 2026: Bands will take part in a series of workshops and will also run soundchecks in the theatre throughout the day. Workshops will relate directly to musical and production skills you will rely on as a rock musician. There will also be a trip organised for all participants.
Saturday, 31 January 2026: The LIVE finals. As per previous events, the Lower Secondary category live final will take place from 09:00 to 13:00, and the Upper Secondary category will take place from 14:00 to 18:00.
Judges will provide feedback to the bands after each performance, and following the final band's performance, they will choose winners of the categories. Results will be announced immediately after this process, and prizes will be awarded on stage in front of the audience.
The cost per student for the live event is THB 4,900. There is no additional cost for accompanying teachers to attend. The cost does not include accommodation (see accommodation tab for our recommended hotels) or any transfers between the airport and the hotel (and vice verse). What is included is food whilst on-site at DBS Denla British School, the welcome dinner, access to all workshops and mentors, coach transfers between Kalanan Riverside Resort and DBS, and any trips included in the event itinerary.
All registration forms should be completed by staff from FOBISIA member schools only.

Wednesday, 04 June 2025: Preliminary round registration open - registration form available here
Monday, 25 August 2025: Preliminary round audition video submissions open - audition submission form available here
Monday, 06 October 2025: Preliminary round registration ends; audition video submissions for preliminary round remain open
Sunday, 12 October 2025 : Audition video submissions are accepted until 17:00 ICT; this deadline will be strictly adhered to
Friday, 17 October 2025: Finalists announced
