Sign Up Procedure & Payment

Before you make your selection, you MUST have had a discussion with your parents about your trip preference. Your parents must approve of your choice. We appreciate that you may want to join your friends on a trip, so we would also encourage you to speak to them before you confirm. 


Students currently in Years 9–12 will be asked to select two activities in order of preference. We will make every effort to accommodate their first choice; however, it may be the case that some activities are oversubscribed or that others may not be able to run if too few students sign up.


Should a trip be oversubscribed, students will be placed to ensure groups are well balanced in regard to year groups. The final decision on groups will rest with the Head of Secondary. Please note that the costs indicated are provisional and may change due to factors such as fuel surcharges and currency fluctuations.

Parents are responsible for arranging VISAs, if required.

Passports need to be valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of arrival at the destination. 

Most overseas trips will utilise the weekends either side of the week of 11th15th November for travel to optimise the length of the trip.


Students and families will be contacted via email with the designated trip by 17th April.


We would like to stress that withdrawal from your option, once deposits have been paid, WILL result in the loss of your deposit.

Y11: Monday 18th March @ 8:00am 


Y9 & Y10: Tuesday 19th March @ 8:00am 


Y6, Y7 & Y8: Monday 18th March @ 8:00am 


CLOSES to all: Wednesday 10th April @ 10:00pm


Y10–13 final choices confirmed via email: Wednesday 17th April 


Deposit payment for trip due: Friday 10th May (50% of camp costs)


Balance payment for trip due: Thursday 15th August 2024




All current Year 6 to Year 12 students must complete the Sign-up Form by Wednesday 10th April @ 10:00pm.

Parents and students will receive a Jotform (Sign-up Form) through their school email address on the designated date above.

Payment can be made in the form of a cheque or bank transfer to our HSBC account #111-459624-001. Thereafter, please kindly email accounts@dbis.edu.hk with your bank confirmation and student name for our records.
