Students in Year 9 have the opportunity to study two elective choices continuosly over two years in Year 9 and Year 10. The successful completion of these courses is recorded on a student’s RoSA (Record of Student Achievement). The RoSA is an accreditation from the NSW Education Authority (NESA) which provides the rules for studying at school in New South Wales.
Often people ask for guidance on how to choose a course. The best advice is that students should:
Select a subject in which they are interested
Select a subject that develops their skills in an area of interest
Select a subject that allows them to do things they find enjoyable
This website provides a great deal of information about the subjects on offer in Year 9.
