RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process that allows students undertaking a Vocational Education and Training (VET) course to receive recognition or credit for the skills, knowledge, and experience they have acquired through previous learning, work experience, or informal training.

Students can be granted credit (Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer (CT) for:

• units of competency within AQF VET qualifications

• indicative hour requirements of Stage 5 or Stage 6 VET courses

• VET course outcomes and content in Frameworks

• mandatory work placement requirements.

It is the responsibility of the student to initiate applications to the school delivering the VET course. 

Schools and RTO will support students in completing their application.
