Bull's Hill

Bull's Hill is located near Brisbane Waters National Park in the Central Coast Region of Broken Bay.

This Field Trip assists teachers to build knowledge around a number of Aboriginal Cultural Sites and to investigate conservation and preservation efforts as well as the impact of human settlement.

Teachers investigate the geographical features associated with several large rock platforms before considering the possible purpose and audience of the related cultural sites.

Corrumbine Creek

Corrumbine Creek is located in Brisbane Waters National Park in the Central Coast Region of Broken Bay.

This Field Trip assists teachers to build knowledge around a little known Aboriginal Cultural Site and to investigate conservation and preservation efforts as well as the impact of human settlement.

Teachers investigate the geographical features of this area including several invasive weed species that require constant attention.

Milyerra Road Trail

Milyerra Road Firetrail is located in Brisbane Waters National Park in the Central Coast Region of Broken Bay.

This Field Trip assists teachers to build knowledge around a little known Aboriginal Cultural Site and to investigate conservation and preservation efforts as well as the impact of human settlement.

Teachers investigate the geographical features of this area including a large tesselated rock formation also containing evidence of life in the past.

Howe's AA

Howe's Aboriginal Area is located in the Central Coast Region of Broken Bay. It is one of only 24 dedicated Aboriginal Areas in NSW and as such is a dedicated conservation and heritage place.

This Field Trip assists teachers to build knowledge around this little known Aboriginal Cultural Site and to investigate conservation and preservation efforts as well as the impact of human settlement.

Teachers investigate the geographical and cultural features of this area including a large rock platform, the presence of Daramulan from the Creation Story and what has been described as the Rainbow Serpents.

Bouddi

Boudi National Park is located in the Central Coast Region of Broken Bay.

This Field Trip assists teachers to build knowledge around three little known Aboriginal Cultural Sites and to investigate conservation and preservation efforts as well as the impact of human settlement.

Teachers investigate the geographical and cultural features of this area with a particular focus on coastal vegetation.

Hardys Bay

Daleys Point

Daleys Point Track, Bouddi National Park is located in the Central Coast Region of Broken Bay.

This Field Trip assists teachers to build knowledge around a significant and mostly well known Aboriginal Cultural Site and to investigate conservation and preservation efforts as well as the impact of human settlement.

Teachers investigate the geographical and cultural features of this area with a particular focus on coastal vegetation.

Narara Railway Dams

The Narara Railway Dams are located in the Central Coast Region of Broken Bay.

This Field Trip assists teachers to build knowledge around the construction and purpose of these historic dams which have had a significant impact on the local environment.

Teachers will investigate the damage made, over time, of people ignoring law and riding trail bikes over a large and significant engraving site.

Teachers investigate the cultural features of this area with a particular focus on visiting a Cave Art site containing ochre and clay stencils as well as charcoal drawings..

Strickland State Forest

Strickland State Forest is located in the Central Coast Region of Broken Bay.

This Field Trip assists teachers to build knowledge around the difference between the management and regulation of State Forests and National Parks with respect to flora, fauna and heritage sites.

Teachers will investigate geographical features of a section of Strickland State Forest and learn about the cultural features of this area with a particular focus on visiting a site containing Daramulan from the Creation Story.

Teachers will also investigate the damage to a significant cultural site on the other side of Mangrove Rd that features sharks and fish amongst others and will assess the current measures in place to prevent further damage.

Lyre Trig

Lyre Trig, Brisbane Waters National Park, is located in the Central Coast Region of Broken Bay. This Field Trip assists teachers to build knowledge around the geographical knowledge associated with Trig Stations.

Teachers will visit a number of Aboriginal Cultural Sites and will assess the current measures in place to prevent further damage.
