I designed my sign in adobe illustrator, I then once I was done with that I saved it as a DXF file and opened it in Fusion 369, and started making 2D pockets and contours, I post processed it and it was ready to be sent to the CNC machine!
I taped the table and my piece of wood, then glued it down to the table so that it wouldn't move while being cut. I set X, Y and Z on the the CNC machine then made sure everything was good to be cut on the CNC and I had it checked and it was ready to GO!
the CNC cut it out with bit #6 a 1/4 inch bit. It took about 5 minutes to complete the passes to cut it out of the wood, it did the inside part first then went around the outside and separated it from my piece of wood, then it was done and ready to be sanded!
I sanded it and blew off the sawdust, and it was then ready to be shown to the world!
What went well?
the fusion 360 process went well I learned a lot and was able to smoothly get through the process mostly by myself
What could be improved?
I think my design could be improved and modified a little bit it is slightly boring I could have made the LEI part a lot more creative and spent more time with it. I could have improved the A I think the little hole could be made to fit better with the design
What would you do differently if you were to do this project again?
I would spend more time on my design so that I like it a lot better.
