Summary of project
This project was a extension from the last project. It's our last project of the semester. This time I chose to do a soccer ball, at first I didn't know what to with a soccer ball. The requirements were the same to at least have two different machines on your piece. At first I was going to V carve but that became too complicated with a soccer ball. In the end the decision was to CNC the soccer ball but carve out some of the soccer ball. I will show you the process!

Creating process
This is the picture I chose to work on, I wanted a simple soccer ball so It wouldn't be so complicated to trace and cut out. I just found this on the internet and after I saved it then sent it into adobe illustator.
This is what it looked like after adding it into adobe illustrator. At first my art board under it was too small so I had to adjust it to fit the size of the soccer ball. My next step was to start tracing it.
If you look closely you can see pink lines tracing the insides and outsides of the soccer ball. After you trace you need to make sure you group your different outlines so they stay all together. This was after my tracing process and I was now ready to import it to Fusion.
This is my project after the 2d toolpath which is the tool I have to use in order to carve out something. As you can see there is imprints in the soccer ball, those are the pieces I am planning to carve out. With this picture you can get a better visual of what the soccer ball is gonna look like once cut out.
This is an example of what the CNC is going to cut out. It is like a simulation and you're able to see exactly what it is going to do to your piece.
