I made a model of my name out of wood using Fusion 360 and the CNC.
Something that went well in this project was the process of CNCing the wood. I did not run into any problems while setting up or running the job.
One of the challenges that I faced was removing the tabs that I placed between the letters that were hard to access, because they were in a very small area.
If I were to redo this project, I could try to add some 3D details in the wood using separate contours to make the sign more detailed and interesting.
Type the desired text into a new text box with the right font and font size and explode it
Add connections between all the letters
Finish and extrude the sketch
Add a new box with the dimensions of the stock
Create the setup with the desired settings for the model and stock
Add the 2D contour with the correct settings for the CNC machine
Export as GCode, print on the CNC, and apply finish
