1. Account Setup
Follow the steps below to access your account
Install DAWn Audio from the Microsoft Desktop App Store here
Click the "Get Started" button and follow the instructions to create your account.
2. Download the DAWn Windows Extensions
You'll need some third-party extensions to run a DAWn Studio
Download the "DAWn Windows Extensions.zip" here
3. Install Extensions
These extensions are required to sync your DAW with your co-creators
Right click the "DAWn Windows Extensions" folder downloaded and select "Extract All"
Open the extracted folder called "DAWn Windows Extensions"
Right click on “Setup.exe” and run as administrator
Follow prompts to install necessary components
4. Setup MIDI Ports
You'll need these to edit your co-creators' projects
Open "loopMIDI" application
If no port shows up under “My loopback MIDI ports”, press the plus sign in the bottom left corner of the window

5. Set up MIDI in Ableton
You'll need this to get DAWn talking with your DAW
Open the DAWn app, log in, and select Ableton as your DAW in the "Settings" page
Open Ableton (Quit then reopen if it was already open)
At the top Left of your screen, go to "Options → Preferences"
Select the "Link, Tempo, MIDI" tab in the sidebar
Under the "MIDI" select the "Control Surface" as "DAWn", and the "Input" as the port you created during installation
Most likely "loopMIDI port 1"
Under the "MIDI Ports" section make sure the checkbox under "Track" is checked for "DAWn Input (loopMIDI port 1)"
6. Set up Audio in Ableton
Last step to get DAWn talking with your DAW
In Ableton, at the top right of your screen, go to "Options → Preferences"
Select the Audio tab in the sidebar
Set the Audio Output Device to VB-Cable
