1. Account Setup
Follow the steps below to access your account
Install DAWn Audio from the Apple Desktop App Store here
Click the "Get Started" button and follow the instructions to create your account.
2. Download the DAWn Mac Extensions
You'll need some third-party extensions to run a studio on DAWn
Download the "DAWn Mac Extensions.dmg" here by selecting "Download anyway" in the window that opens
3. Install VB Cable
VB Cable is required to route audio from your DAW to DAWn
Open the "DAWn Mac Extensions.dmg"
In the folder "VB Cable" double Click "vb-cable-installer.pkg" to install

4. Install DAWn Sync and PD
DAWn Sync and PD are used to sync audio and DAWs with your co-creators
Open the "DAWn Mac Extensions.dmg"
Move "DAWnSync" and "Pd-0.53-2" applications to your applications folder in Finder
Now that you've installed all our necessary extensions, you can eject the Mac Extensions dmg if you'd like
5. Sync DAWn
You'll need this to get DAWn talking with your DAW
Open DAWnSync App in Applications folder
Select Logic as your DAW and press Sync
Press "Click Here to Give DAWn Access"
Quit the application
6. Setup MIDI Ports
You'll need these to edit your co-creators' projects
Open “Audio MIDI Setup” on your Mac
Perform spotlight search if necessary ("⌘ SPACE" or "search icon" at top right of Mac nav-bar)
Click "⌘ 2" on your keyboard, or Select: "Window" → "Show MIDI Studio"
Double Click "IAC Driver"
Check “Device is online” box
Make sure there’s at least one bus/port - can add ports using “+” under "Ports"
IMPORTANT: Click “Apply” if you added any ports
7. Set up MIDI in Logic
You'll need this to get DAWn talking with your DAW
Open Logic Pro (Quit then reopen if it was already open)
At the top left of your screen, go to Logic Pro → Settings → Advanced and check the box that says "Enable Complete Features"
Note: This will be under Logic Pro → Settings → Advanced in Logic Pro v10.7.6 and later versions
At the top left of your screen, go to Logic Pro → Settings → MIDI
Note: This will be under Logic Pro → Settings → MIDI in Logic Pro v10.7.6 and later versions
Select the "Inputs" Sub-Menu and make sure the port you created during installation is set to "On"
Most likely "IAC Driver Bus 1"
At the top right of your screen, go to File → Project Settings → MIDI and make sure to check the box that says "Control change message...."
DISCLAIMER: You will need to do this last step (step 6) with every new project you open
8. Set up Audio in Logic
Last step to get DAWn talking with your DAW
At the top left of your screen, go to Logic Pro → Settings → Audio
Note: This will be under Logic Pro → Settings → Audio in Logic Pro v10.7.6 and later versions
Click the dropdown menu to the right of "Output Device" and select "VB-Cable"
Input Device can be whatever you microphone you use
All set and ready to co-create!
