Davison Early College is a rigorous five-year high school program combining the best of high school and the early college experience. Our program is structured for students to gradually increase their exposure to college courses over their high school span.
Students who elect to enroll and are approved for the Davison Early College commit to:
Attend mandatory seminars/meetings on the days they are scheduled.
Successfully complete their college course in their sophomore to continue with the program.
Successfully complete college coursework in their junior and senior years of high school to attend one additional year of high school on the college campus.
Extend your high school graduation date by one school year. Students, however, participate in the graduation ceremony with their original graduating class but do not earn their diploma until the end of their 13th year.
Students will graduate from high school with a high school diploma and significant college credits, a career certificate, an associate degree, or a MEMCA Certificate upon completion of their 13th year.
DEC students earn their high school diploma upon completion of their 13th year. Their diploma will reflect the graduation date of June of their 5th year.
