Hi, there. If you're on this webpage it means I just did a classroom visit and left you my card. I'm confident I enjoyed my visit with you and your students. Thanks for having me into your room.
I taught for thirteen years before moving to the district support role I'm in now. I remember what a disruption and distraction it was when other adults would enter the room and hangout for few minutes. I taught high school students and I'm sure it is even more of a nuisance in our younger classrooms. Likewise, I always found it a little nerve-racking, even when I knew I was nailing it that day. Sometimes I would get a note from a principal after a visit. Other times I got crickets.
The purpose of this page is just to let you know why I spent time with you today. Just like other walk though visits for math, reading, co-teaching, and other important practices, I have look-fors related to technology.
Below you'll find a short video about the book we refer to as the 4 Shifts book by McLeod and Graber. The lines highlighted in yellow and orange are the specific look fors I try to catch. If you would like me to come back at another time to see more in action, visit my calendar to book a time. Enter as much detail as possible concerning your school, room number, lesson topic, and more.
