Learn Free (previously GCFGlobal) provides free online tutorials of many topics including how to use a computer. Tutorials vary on how they run and can be text, video, or interactive based. Each category has many topics and can be found in the Explore dropdown menu. Explore categories include:
Microsoft Office: Extensive tutorials covering all things Microsoft Office such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel. They also have basics to go over shortcuts and navigating your files.
Computers: Tutorials that demonstrate anything from the basics of computers to coding and more. Helpful tutorials for getting started include Computer Basics (demonstrates how to set up, maintain, and use your computer) and Basic Computer Skills (demonstrates how to use your computer's software and what different types of software are. Also shows how to maintain software via updates).

United Way’s NC 211 service connects callers to verified sources for basic needs, such as housing and utility assistance, food, healthcare and transportation. In addition, it now offers digital skills assessments, help setting up an email address, locations of libraries that offer free Wi-Fi or a computer lab and sites for upcoming computer skills classes. Their service is available in most languages and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
