This course provides students with an introduction to office software applications commonly used in college and workplace settings. Instruction is focused on word processing, spreadsheet, and slideshow applications found in office suite programs such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Upon completion, students should be able to maneuver through each application, apply the skills and concepts they have learned, and recognize and define application-related technology terms.
Offers certificates to show proficiency in digital literacy.
Utilizes a self-paced, interactive program using Northstar software

This course provides employability skills training for unemployed and underemployed adults. The curriculum framework is based on four post-employment service strategies — transition, retention, advancement, and re-employment. Transition involves being ready to work (school-to-work, school-to-school, and/or balancing work and family). Retention involves keeping a job and staying employed (work ethics). Advancement involves attaining better jobs with performance and skill development (upgrading and retraining). Re-employment involves gaining independence through a lifetime of work (work-to-work).

Davidson-Davie has partnered with Ed2Go to provide online courses for students who have busy schedules and can't always make it to campus. These courses are completely online and allow for you to study and work on assignments on your time. Classes start at the beginning of each month and you have 10 weeks to complete them. Some other information includes:
Your first lesson is due within the first 7 days or you are dropped from the course without refund.
New lessons and quizzes are opened twice per week on Wednesday and Friday.
Quizzes allow for multiple attempts.
You have one exam which is the final.
Cost: $75 per class which includes all study materials (Fee is not waived. While you cannot use financial aid, you can potentially receive a scholarship or voucher through outside agencies such as your employer.).
No meeting times, but you do have an instructor available to contact.

Devices such as laptops and hotspots are available for borrowing through our campus. Specifics for devices available will be found under Davidson-Davie resources. Requirements for all of items excluding those loaned through TRIO include:
A form to be filled out located at front desk of the location they are at which must be done each semester
Approval is required before borrowing is allowed.
If you keep a device past due date, you are blocked from borrowing more devices
If a device is lost or damaged, there is a fee:
Laptops: $1200
Hotspots: $100
