Academic Projects
For my CSC-121 class, we practiced working with Turtle graphics on Python to create artworks and animations. This was my first time coding in Python, and these are some of my proudest works using Turtle. This includes the first project we did, where I wrote my name using Turtle commands, as well as the skyline project, where my teammate and I learned to use functions in Python to run codes more efficiently.
Included in the image carousel is also the planning process for the skyline homework, where we sketched out a map of the design we wanted to make and their corresponding coordinates to make it easier to sync up our work later on, since we divided and worked on each of our code individually.
For my final project in ENV-242, political ecology, we were asked to design a creative project that encapsulates all of our course themes and reading materials that we've interacted with throughout the term. I decided to make a digital, interactive exhibition, incorporating my own online articles and art pieces that takes viewers on a journey to understanding political ecology and climate justice issues from various perspectives.
The exhibition is interactive on Google Slides, with viewers being able to click on arrows and bubbles to move around and choose topics they find interesting, which simulates the experience of exploring a real-life museum.
College Extracurricular Involvements
"The Bonner Scholars Program is a four-year scholarship program that supports a strong team of students working to bring about positive community change through service, research and action."
As a Bonner Scholar at Davidson College, I commit myself to 8 hours of service and a Bonner meeting every week. Currently, I am volunteering at the Ada Jenkins Center as a LEARNWorks after-school program mentor, where I tutor students to improve their math and reading skills. I am also an intern at Davidson Land Conservancy, working on their Treasure Tree Program as well as volunteering at their annual Run for Green Marathon to fundraise for the organization.
During Spring Break, our cohort of 20 first-year Bonner Scholars headed to Charleston, SC, to serve in various NGOs and engage with the local community to learn more about socio-economic inequality and climate injustice issues in the area. The experience was eye-opening for me, and I look forward to staying in touch with Keep Charleston Beautiful and continue my service work with their organization.

As a woman in STEM, I am also involved in the following organizations on campus. In AWM, I am part of the E-Board as Events Coordinator and recently volunteered with them at the annual STEAMFest in Mooresville. On campus, I am also involved in hosting events like coffee chats at Nummit to encourage women in math to meet and share about their personal and professional experiences in the field.
Davidson SPS attending the Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP) in January.
I am also a part of the Society for Physics Students at Davidson College, where I attended the Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP) at Clemson University in January 2024. The experience enabled me to connect with and learn more about the experiences of women in physics from other universities as well as from within Davidson.
I will also be volunteering more with SPS throughout the semester to help out with on-campus events, such as the upcoming Solar Eclipse Viewing event!
As a part of Girls in STEM, I volunteer weekly at Mooresville Middle School to provide after-school tutoring and STEM enrichment programming for the students there. The organization is also a part of my Bonner volunteer work on campus, and I look forward to collaborating with them further throughout this semester!
In the Androgyny (the first co-ed A Capella at Davidson College!), I am part of the E-Board as Secretary.
Throughout the year, we've performed at Live Thursday, Andro Talent Show, Reading Day Eve, 'Cats for a Cause, as well as various Union Board Events. Being part of the group, I've sung in alto, mezzo-soprano, as well as tenor!

Past Project: UWC Youth4Climate Conference 2022
As a part of my Project-Based Certificate (PBC) in high school, my classmates and I founded the UWC Youth4Climate conference, funded by our school board.
The Youth4Climate Conference brings high school students (age 15-19) and climate experts together from all around the world to facilitate discussions and provide accessible climate education for the youths through online workshops and panel discussions. Started in December 2022, the project has reached +200 student participants and hosted renowned key speakers such as businesswoman Kresse Wesling, climate economist Gernot Wagner, as well as professor of climate law Christina Voigt.
Some pictures from our 2022 online conference with Gernot & Christina!
The project was paused in 2023. However, I am looking to bring the conference back in Winter 2024. Stay tuned for new updates on this project later on in the year!
