Teach a Caregiver how to play your instrument
If your student does not have an instrument at home, we still want them to participate. Email Mr. Burian and an instrument will be brought to Wood for the night: burians@davenportschools.org
Dear North-Side Beginning Orchestra Students and Families!
Since our first concert, we have been progressing quickly with our bow-holds, bowing technique, rhythms, and note-names! Upcoming in this quarter, the beginners have a special performance opportunity!
We will be hosting Young Maestro Night (teach a caregiver to how to play your instrument) at Wood Middle School! For this performance, the students are asked to bring an adult family member willing to participate--the students will be teaching the adults our beginning string techniques! The beginning orchestra students are the “teachers” and the adults are the “students”--we hope you will be able to join us for this exciting event!
All are welcome to join in the audience but we only have the space for our young “teachers” to have one adult “student” participate. The adults will learn to play on the children’s instruments. We hope to see you there!
