P.B.I.S. NEWS

This is Eisenhower’s “Kindness Tree.” If a staff member catches a student who has really stepped up and shown kindness, the teacher recognizes that student during classroom meeting time by sharing how the moment was an act of kindness. Then, the student’s name will be written on a leaf and added to the Kindness Tree.

What is PBIS?

PBIS is an ongoing problem-solving process based on research that creates positive behaviors while reducing behavioral disruptions. It is a whole school approach with the goal of preventing behavior problems instead of reacting to them. Our PBIS team is trained through the Davenport Community School District.

Our Expectations

We use set procedures and common language to teach and reinforce our expected behaviors. By using data, we address problem behaviors and develop solutions. With PBIS we teach our students expected behaviors instead of punishing.
