Languages

In the call to the updates endpoint, the locale parameter indicates the language of the data. 

In this version 1 of the API, the data is provided in English, while proper names are kept in their original language.

Team names

The attributes referring to the name of the team or institution are

• Name: name of the team

• Short name: present when the name is more than 11 characters long

• Full name: usually the name of the association 

• Nickname: nickname of the team

Possible values of gender

The possible values for gender attribute are

• f for feminine gender

• m for masculine gender

• x

Possible values of teamType

The possible values for gender attribute are

• club for football club

• selection for national football team
