 Adventures with the Perfect Book Project

Looking for engaging ways to keep literacy alive outside of school? 

Our student-developed books are perfect for a variety of fun activities!

Illustrate Your Own Story: For our 1st and 2nd grade books, we've left blank pages so students can draw their own images to go along with each page. It's a fantastic way to engage with the story and express creativity!

Family Read-Alouds: Choose a book from your child's grade level, or explore other grades, and enjoy reading aloud together. Discuss the characters, plot, and what makes the story special.

Creative Writing Prompts: Use the books as inspiration! After reading, encourage your child to write an alternate ending, a prequel, or a story about one of the minor characters.

"Book Club" Discussions: Pick a book and discuss it as a family. Use the resources on the back pages to spark discussion. What did you like? What did you learn? How would you have done things differently?

Discover New Genres: With over 300 unique books, there's a wide variety of topics and styles. Encourage your child to explore books they might not typically choose.

Become a Book Reviewer: Have your child write or tell you a short review of their favorite book, explaining why they recommend it to others.

Spot the Bot: The text for these books was generated by the AI tool, Gemini, and even though our students edited the books, you may still be able to find some AI mistakes, or hallucinations.
