About the Project

Project Goals

To help every student develop the "perfect book" that is both engaging and accessible by providing hands-on literacy and AI literacy teaching and learning experiences customized for each grade-level.

Provide elementary teachers with hands-on professional learning experiences with foundational AI skills for prompt engineering, feedback, and safe & ethical use.
Provide elementary students with foundational understandings of artificial intelligence, large language models, and responsible digital citizenship.
Provide elementary students with engaging and accessible literacy tools to build grade-specific skills and understandings.

Artificial Intelligence & Literacy Topics

The following topics were covered using targeted language and learning experiences that are developmentally appropriate for each grade level (1-5). The AI topics were also covered in staff trainings for elementary educators.
