Hello Students!

WRITE IT DOWN. Right now, while school is cancelled--and your life is a little unusual--grab a journal and write it down. This is your generation’s defining moment. For you, there will be the World Before COVID-19, and the World After COVID-19.

Someday your kids, and your grandkids, will want to know what it was like to live through 2020. Not just what the media reported but what it was REALLY LIKE. How do you feel? In what ways has your life unexpectedly changed? What's going on in your community, right now? How is your perspective shifting? What hope do you have for the future? Just as we look back at old war letters, future generations will want to look back at your journals to understand your real, raw, personal experience.

Snapchat is here today, gone tomorrow. Your Instagram posts will fade, Tik Toks will disappear, and memes will get lost in the shuffle. But your journal--your handwritten words, your own unique experience expressed on the page--will be a treasure not only for you, but for generations to come.

Take a moment to write it down. History will thank you for it!
