Workshops

A series of seven monthly workshops are being offered to representatives (faculty, staff, and students) from each department starting in the term after the department completes the climate surveys. The goal of these workshops is to discuss and interpret the survey results and develop strategies to improve their departmental climates. Workshops are being led by Diana Kardia, PhD, from Kardia Group LLC.

Workshops for representatives from those departments surveyed in the fall of 2020:.

Thayer Workshops (2nd Wednesday of the month, December, 2020 – June, 2021) 17 participants

Participants: 6 faculty members, 7 staff members, 1 postdoctoral fellow, 2 PhD students, and 1 BE student.

Sciences Workshops (2nd Friday of the month, December 2020 – June, 2020) 34 participants

  • Biological Sciences Participants: 3 faculty members, 2 staff members, 1 postdoctoral fellow, 2 graduate students

  • Physics and Astronomy Participants: 3 faculty members, 1 staff member, 1 postdoctoral fellow, 2 graduate students

  • Earth Sciences: 3 faculty members, 1 staff member, 4 postdoctoral fellows, 3 graduate students

  • Mathematics: 2 faculty members, 1 staff member, 1 graduate student

  • The Hopkins Center for the Arts: 4 staff members


Workshops for representatives from those departments surveyed in the winter of 2021 will be held on Fridays, March through May and September through December.
