The Parent Involvement program provides information, resources, and opportunities for parents to participate in their child's school events and activities in order to enhance their child's educational experiences.  

The Parent Involvement goal of Darlington County School District is to build working relationships between educators and families to improve and sustain educational involvement by increasing participation at academic conferences, workshops, Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) conferences, IEP meetings, and other school events.

Parent's Right To Know

Parents may request information regarding the professional qualifications of a student's classroom teahcer(s), including the following: 

• whether a teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction

• whether a teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which state qualification or licensing criteria have been waived

• the baccalaureate degree major of a teacher and any other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree.
