Ms. Annalisa Smith, M. Ed. SC History Teacher, Student Government Advisor Hartsville Middle School
This is my 3rd year at Hartsville Middle School, but I am not new to the teaching profession. I have been teaching middle school Social Studies for 14 years in the Pee Dee area. I am the mother of 4 children. My oldest daughter is currently attending the Francis Marion University, and my middle 2 children are in high school and my youngest is in middle school. I currently reside in Lake City, SC and I am a proud Alumni Member of the Lake City High School Class of 2000! I am also involved in many Community Organizations in the Pee Dee area.
I have experience with coaching cheerleading, girls basketball, and as an athletic department assistant. I have been in several administrative roles throughout my career as an Administrative Assistant, Project Director for the Nita M. Lowery 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant, and Summer School Principal for my past Middle Schools. I enjoy not only serving students, but teachers as well through mentoring.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Middle Level Education from Francis Marion University, and my Masters in Literacy from Coker University. I am currently enrolled at The Citadel earning my second Masters in Educational Leadership. My future educational goal is to complete a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph. D.) from NC State University in the area of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development with a concentration on Higher Education Opportunity, Equity, and Justice.
