For rising 6th grade through current 12th grade students
The Darlington County School District partners with the P.L. & Belle Wolf McCall School of Visual & Performing Arts Department to offer the ArtSummer program held on Coker University's campus. Through ArtSummer Intensive, students have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the study of a specific arts discipline for two weeks. The arts disciplines are visual arts, media arts, dance, theater, instrumental & vocal music.
ArtSummer Intensive is a two-week course designed to provide recognition, encouragement, and enrichment for young, talented student artists. During the two weeks, students will have many opportunities to show dedication, accountability, take risks, and express themselves in their various arts disciplines.
The program will operate form June 1 to June 11, 8:15am - 2:30, Monday through Thursday. Shuttle transportation will be provided from a central location for students living in Darlington, Lamar, and Society Hill. Students living in Hartsville will need to provide their own transportation.
There is a $40 registration fee. Payment can be submitted once your child has received an acceptance letter. FINAL acceptance emails will be emailed to accepted students in April. Cash or money orders made out to Darlington County School District will be due by May on the night of the parent meeting at Coker University.
