Art in Business (AiB)

Art in Business (AiB) is a district-wide initiative designed to recognize and celebrate the hard work and creativity of student artists and art teachers while strengthening the relationship between Darlington County School District and the local business community. Each school participates by selecting one student artwork to represent its school in the AiB competition. School winners receive a cash prize and ribbon, and their artwork is framed and displayed in a sponsoring business for one year, providing students with the opportunity to have their work showcased throughout the community. 

A panel of business sponsors and guest artists then selects four Grand Prize winners representing the K–2, 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12 grade divisions. Grand Prize recipients receive additional recognition and awards, while their art teachers receive funding for art supplies.

AiB Themed Edition 

The AiB: Themed Edition Exhibit extends our traditional annual AiB Exhibit by creating an opportunity to celebrate and display the creativity of our schools throughout the entire school year at the district office. We celebrate every school across the Darlington County School District. Each school brought its own voice, creativity, and interpretation to our motto, “Excellence in Teaching & Learning for Each Child, Every Day.” While the artwork looks different from school to school, the message is consistent: every child matters, every child contributes, and every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and excel. This exhibit is a wonderful reflection of who we are as a district.
