How do our primary students begin using devices?
Every student is issued a "Clever Badge". They are a quick and efficient way to sign in to district approved sites. Each badge is unique and contains QR codes with the student username and password.
Clever is a "single sign in" to
reach all district-approved apps. Students begin on their "Clever Portal".
Kindergarten & 1'st Grade students scan Clever Badges to login into their computers. Practice is given in Library class.
Second grade students attempt to login by typing in their district usernames & passwords. Practice is given in Library class. If they end up needing a Clever Badge login, one will be provided.
Grades 3-5 students login by typing in their district usernames & passwords. Practice is given in Library class.
All grades receive Digital Citizenship lessons through Common Sense Education.
Where and how do K-2 students complete their work digitally?
Seesaw is the learning platform for our K-2 students.
They are able to submit work with a variety of tools available on this powerful platform.
The students can access the Seesaw "bowtie" from their Clever Portal. It is a place that allows them to work with a variety of tools such as pencil, pen, microphone, camera, and more! Work is saved and a portfolio of progress is accessible. Instruction on this platform is given during library lesson time.
