Getting involved in clubs/sports early on is often the trick to meeting people and finding you place in the community
Remember that it takes time to get comfortable in a new place
Focus on being confident with yourself, and making friends will happen
Ask for help if you have questions - there are lots of great resources and people here to help!

All incoming grade 9 and transfer students will be able to pick up iPads from Darien High School.
Both parents/guardians AND students must complete the sign offs in the Aspen workflow ahead of time (see directions here)

New Wave Club Virtual Meeting
New Wave Club Virtual Meeting
Join the New Wave Club for a 1:00 Virtual Meeting to meet club members and participate in a Q&A session about DHS.
(Zoom invitation will be sent directly to students at their DPS email address)
Freshmen will also participate in a virtual advisory at 1:30 and meet their counselors virtually at 2:00.
