DHS offers over 60 clubs and student organizations!
As clubs register in the fall, our DHS Club Directory will be updated; see the DHS Clubs & Activities website for more details (see last year's Club Directory here, but know that some organizations that existed last year may not run this year. We'll update this year's Directory as soon as groups register in the first weeks of school!)
Have an idea for a group that doesn't exist? Reach out to Mrs. Dimoulas for more info on starting a new club!
This year, many clubs will be running virtually; DHS administration will work with faculty advisor to plan for in-person meetings and events where safe and appropriate.
Darien High School is closely following the recommendations from local health officials, Central Services, and the CIAC in making all determinations regarding Fall sports.
Fall Sports regularly include: Cheerleading, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Football, Soccer, Swim & Dive (girls), Volleyball (girls); for more information, see the Athletics Website here.
Sign offs must be completed in Aspen in order to participate, and each student athlete must have a physical on file dated within the last 15 months.
*On August 14, CIAC announced the start of football will be delayed until August 24.
We will continue to update athletes and families of any forthcoming changes.
Community Council is an organization that consists of representatives from the student body, faculty, staff, and administration. Its mission is to represent all members of the school community and foster positive school climate and culture by addressing community needs and planning school related activities.
Each class is represented by 4 Class Officers; elections for Freshman Class Officers will be held in September! All students are welcome to attend class meetings as well as the full council meetings!

We look forward to the opportunity to join as a community each fall to engage with students and families in conversations about student wellbeing and about substance use and prevention through our Extracurricular Participation meetings.
This year, we are joining with some of our most popular community partners to share virtual offerings for families. While we will not be requiring participation in these sessions, students are required as always to adhere to the Standards of Behavior Governing Participation in Extracurricular and Athletic Activities at Darien High School. We will communicate more information about these virtual workshop offerings in September.
