ACT-WorkKeys Specifications
Students who complete the two-course Career and Technical Education sequence are administered the ACT WorkKeys examination in the 12th grade (prior to graduation). ACT WorkKeys provides a gauge of career readiness and is widely recognized as an industry credential. WorkKeys assessments measure “real world” skills critical to job success. These skills are valuable for any occupation – skilled or professional – at any level of education, and in any industry. There are two opportunities for students to participate in ACT Workkeys - November and March. All First Flight students who are concentrators in a CTE Pathway are required by the State of North Carolina to complete the ACT-Workkeys before they graduate. First Flight will test fall of 2025 sometime in November/December.
