Request a Book - Remote Students

The Garfield Elementary Library is offering curbside pickup for library books. Here is an overview of how it works:

Borrowing Books:

  1. Use the search box to search the Garfield Elementary Library's online catalog.

  2. When you find a book you want to borrow, click on the hold button. You will be prompted to Log-in to the site.

  • You will use the Sign in with Google option. If it does not sign you in automatically, use your district provided email and password to sign in.

  • You may place holds on as many items as you wish. The library will fill them in the order in which you placed them and they become available.

  • You may have up to two items checked out at one time.

  1. Available books that were requested by noon will be ready for pick up the next school day.

  2. You will pick up books at Garfield Elementary School. Please call me at my extension, 217-444-1763 and I will bring out the book and place it in your vehicle.

Returning Books

Please contact the librarian to arrange for drop off of materials. Materials should be returned at the same time new materials are picked up but other arrangements can be made.

  • Phone: 217-444-1763

  • email: willerm@danville118.org

All books are quarantined for 7 days before they are available for checkout again.
