We are delighted to introduce you to Lanchester Primary School and would like to thank you for your interest in playing an important role in our future.

We are looking to appoint a hard-working and dedicated candidate to join our friendly Team. Lanchester Primary School is a very well-regarded school in central Watford, having had a very positive Ofsted inspection in December 2024. 

The school has a new leadership team in place from September 2024, and we are now looking for an additional Assistant Headteacher to join the team.  The structure of the senior leadership team will consist of two Assistant Headteachers, alongside the Headteacher.  Phase leaders are also in place across the school.  The individual roles and responsibilities for the new Assistant Headteacher can be mutually agreed with the appointed candidate, based on their skills and experiences.  However, we are ideally looking for someone who can get stuck in with life at Lanchester, and who is up for a challenge! As with all leaders, there will be an expectation of teaching within the role (either class based or cover across the school), and this will be agreed with the successful candidate.

We are a primary school situated near the centre of Watford with excellent transport links into / from London, we are also close to the M25.
