Above all, we are immensely proud of our students.

New to the IB?
Let's get you started

We offer three International Baccalaureate (IB) pathways:
Diploma Programme, Career-related Programme and Bespoke Course.

All three pathways include IB subjects which you choose from our extensive range.

The Career-related Programme also includes a vocational subject.

Diploma and Career-related Programmes each have their own core element.

Those pages also provide details of any core element relevant to each pathway. The Career-related Programme page also provides details of our vocational subject choices.
Our full list of IB subject choices is best visited via each pathway's separate page where you will find guidance on how to select from the extensive range.

A world class curriculum

Our curriculum is challenging, rigorous and flexible. Dane Court is the only school in Kent to offer both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the Careers-related Programme (IBCP). This means that you have access to the world's premier post-16 academic qualification as well as the most prestigious and flexible Sixth Form vocational qualification in the UK.

We have chosen these qualifications because we believe they provide the very best preparation for study at world-class universities and entry into fulfilling careers and professions. There is good reason why these qualifications are found in some of the most expensive independent schools and the most successful international schools in the world. Compared to A-levels, the IB develops students to be more independent, more open-minded and more likely to successfully complete their undergraduate studies (University Admissions Officers' Report, 2017).

Academic and vocational excellence
Our examination results are excellent. In 2019, our Year 13 students once again attained an average point score of 34 IBDP points. To put this in the context of university entry requirements, 33 points is equivalent to A and B grades at A-level. It also means that our students have secured places on competitive undergraduate courses, including medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, engineering and law. Our strong vocational results also prepare students for university and higher apprenticeships. In 2019, there was a 100% pass rate in all of our double award vocational courses and 38% of our students secured double distinction* grades.

High quality teaching
This academic and vocational success would not be possible without high quality classroom teaching. Our teachers are subject experts who are exceptionally skilled at communicating their love of learning to their students. They ensure that lessons are challenging and enjoyable and, importantly, they know how to support you to achieve your full potential.
