During store set up first thing in the morning make sure the I-pads and credit card readers are plugged in, charging, and that taxes are populating. If not, please text Kai.
Play with the ipad and credit card reader during load in to make sure they are paired: DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE IS STORE OPEN.

If the customer has used a Square system anywhere, they will already be in your system.
If they want a receipt later, tap transactions , search for the sale and tap new receipt
If a client is wanting to purchase an item and it has a rip or stain on it we can offer them 10% off the item. Please do this using the 10% discount option.
If you are logged out of square completely please click on the option that says something along the lines of "Enter Device Code" and then enter the square number that is on the back of the ipad.

If contactless and Chip reader comes up tap it, if not tap Square Readers and Connect a Reader.
Press the tiny button on your reader until it lights up TAP Pair
TROUBLESHOOTING
Try going into settings on your iPad, tap Bluetooth, tap any square readers and tap forget device.
Go back into square and try pairing again.
Make sure your reader is “awake” they sleep after no usage (push the tiny button on it)
Try a hard reset on your iPad - Push the Home button and On/Off button down at the same time until the iPad resets.
Make sure the Square: Retail point of sale app is up to date – Go to App Store search Square: Retail point of sale, tap the teal green app and if it says update: tap update
From the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen, Tap Transactions.
Insert the customer’s credit card into the reader, the sale will come up
Tap Exchange
Select Items to Exchange, Tap Next
For an exchange add your item and size to the screen
The zero balance, amount owed or amount to be refunded will be in the blue box
If new payment is required please proceed with a normal checkout routine
In the event of a refund request or a situation that necessitates processing a refund (for example, when a dancer purchases an item and the accompanying parent subsequently buys the same item), it is likely that I will approve the refund in such cases.
