CT Regulations require a physical exam for:
New enrollments, including Kindergartners, within the past 12 months
6th and 9th graders, dated after 1/1/2025 for the 2025-2026 school year
Screenings performed in school
Screenings performed in school
Vision:
Students are screened in grades K,1 3 4 and 5. The Lion's Club provides the screening to Danbury Students
Hearing:
Students are tested by school nurses in Grades K, 1, 3, 4 and 5.
Scoliosis:
Male students are screened by school nurses in 8th grade
Female students are screened by school nurses in 5th and 8th Grade.
If you wish to opt out of the school screenings, please provide a letter to the school nurse.
