The Mecha Mariner Underwater Team D.U.E.L. operates with less of a ¨team¨ mindset and is geared to be more of an engineering company trying to promote a product which can suffice specific tasks that are asked of the MATE committee.
This years MATE company differs from last years as we will have multiple teams forming engineering companies to compete at the event and produce their own individual UROV´s. We will still retain the name D.U.E.L. for one of own companies but now we are introducing an all girls team and an additional after school company. In essence we plan to have a total of 3 MATE companies which will encompass much more members.
When you join one of the MATE companies you will have the option of running for a high position in the company via a democratic process. Although when first joining with very little experience, certain positions will not be made immediately available.
