Based in Stuart, Florida, Damsel Marine has satisfied  clients not only in the U.S., but all over the world. Our staff brings over forty years of professional experience in the operation, maintenance, and management of yachts large and small, crewed and owner-operated, power and sail. We have overseen major cosmetic, mechanical, and structural refits, and have operated and serviced yachts on both sides of the Atlantic, the Mediterranean Sea, the Caribbean Sea, and South America. We have worked in steel, alloys, wood, and composites. With our diverse background, Damsel Marine Services can provide you with the expertise necessary to keep boating simple and enjoyable.

Damsel's Story

I grew up in Michigan, along the shores of Lake Michigan, in a family with a deep-rooted passion for sailing. My father, a seasoned yachtsman, inherited his love for the water from a long line of sailors. He spent his youth navigating the family’s 39-foot Rhodes Bounty, Damsel. By the time I was eight, the water became my second home. I would take my skiff on adventures up and down the river, with my parents trusting me to return by dinnertime. A few years later, my father introduced me to sailing on my uncle’s Laser, and I spent my childhood exploring the lake’s shores and tributaries. The feel of a sailboat's heel, the grip of the tiller, and the hum of the outboard motor became the soundtrack of my summers, fueling my passion for sailing and boating.

That passion only deepened as I grew older. After earning my BFA from the University of Alabama, I pursued a career as a professional sailor, working with yacht owners to cross the Atlantic and sail to incredible destinations around the globe. I also cultivated an appreciation for all types of vessels. During my college years, I worked as a commercial fisherman, and over the next decade, I ran private and charter motor yachts, some as large as 190 Gross Tons. Yachting has been more than a career for me; it is where I found my partner in life, where I raised my children, and where I carried on the family tradition with vessels such as Damsel III, Damsel IV, and Damsel V.

When I founded my business, I knew there was only one name that would reflect both my heritage and my commitment to the maritime industry: DAMSEL. It’s in my blood. My personal mission is to ensure that your vessels remain in pristine condition, so you can create your own unforgettable memories on the water.  At Damsel Marine Services, my team and I are committed to making your yacht ownership experience as seamless as possible.
