Damien High School in La Verne, California, proudly cultivates young men of service, scholarship, and faith. Its music program serves over 100 students across ensembles such as the Spartan Regiment marching band, beginning band, concert band, jazz band, indoor winds, winter guard, guitar, and music technology.
The Damien Spartan Regiment unites performers from Damien, Pomona Catholic, St. Lucy’s Priory, and Our Lady of the Assumption, reflecting a shared commitment to musical excellence and community. They are a multi-time champion, holding four California State Band Division 2A titles, two Southern California Band and Orchestra Association Division 1A titles, two Western Band Association Class A titles, and a Bands of America Regional Class A championship.
Across the program, excellence is a tradition: concert and jazz ensembles consistently receive superior ratings, indoor winds is a WGI silver medalist and two-time WGASC champion, and both Indoor Percussion and Winter Guard hold WGASC titles.
Damien's music ensembles have performed at major venues including Disneyland, SoFi Stadium, the Hollywood Christmas Parade, Hawaii Invitational, New Orleans Heritage Festival, WGI World Championships, and the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
In 2025, Damien High School received the NAMM Foundation’s SupportMusic Merit Award for its commitment to music education and the arts.
