Teachers provide time for students to record their assignments during class daily. It is students’ responsibility to correctly record the assignments in their agenda.
Students will be provided with a digital agenda each trimester in order to facilitate tracking assignments or they may choose to provide their own hard copy.

English Language Arts:
Read for 20 minutes, at least 5 days a week. This can include book discussion work from class, if time is need to finish it at home. * Students have at least 15 minutes of class time daily to start book discussion work; it is students' responsibility to be prepared for discussion with groups that meet daily.
Book discussion work and monthly Study Island Reading assignments can count toward the required 20 minutes of reading.
Study Island assignments: At the beginning of each month students will be assigned a new assignment, which can be seen on the Study Island website. This assignment will need to be completed by the end of the month. (Class time is given to work on the assignment; approximately 2-3 questions daily will be enough time for the assignment to be finished by the end of the month.)
Guided Reading Groups: Each child has a paper calendar for their specific book. The book discussion calendar will identify assignments and when projects/assignments are due.
Word Study: New words are given every day 2. Tests are once per cycle on day 1.
Word Study Google Classroom contains resources to study.
