Water Safety

This it is an opportunity for families to learn the importance and benefits of learning to swim.

Dallas ISD Elementary School students and their families are encouraged to participate in this program so that they can ENJOY themselves safely, in and around the water this summer!

There are 5 lessons that cover specific safety topics. Each topic is presented as a rhyme that will help students remember the water safety rule being taught. Click on the titles below to access the lesson/video:

The American Red Cross Longfellow’s WHALE Tales lessons teach children about water safety in different environments, such as pools, waterparks, oceans, lakes and rivers. It teaches them about water hazards around the home and neighborhood and covers sun safety, boating safety and much more.
