Today you are going to set some goals for yourself for the year! But not just any goals - S.M.A.R.T. Goals!
These goals have certain attributes that help you set goals that are clear, achievable, and let you track them as you make progress. How? By writing them so they are S.M.A.R.T. including the characteristics as listed below.
Using the worksheet and Post-It notes provided, please write (in complete sentences) at least (1) personal goal on one of the sticky notes and at least (1) goal that pertains to school.
Write out your goals and revise as necessary so that each goal is:
S for SPECIFIC: Being specific in what it is that you want to accomplish lets you plan effectively with specific targets in mind.
M for MEASUABLE: Having something in the goal you can measure lets you track your progress and reevaluate along the way to reaching your goal.
A for ATTAINABLE: You'll want to set realistic goals that are challenging, but achieveable
