As part of ongoing efforts to migrate data storage to the cloud, IT is phasing out personal H: drives for employees and students. Beginning January 29th, personal H: drives will become read-only.
All new files and electronic content should be stored to the cloud.
Benefits of cloud data storage include:
Platform choice: users are offered both Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive
1 Terabyte of storage on OneDrive or unlimited storage for Google Drive
Convenient and secure remote access without VPN

To access your District student email account:
Enter your student ID# only as the username do not include @dallasisd.org
Enter your password (what you used to access technology on campus)
To write a student via their school email : S(studentID#)@stumail.dallasisd.org
ie. S6125643@stumail.dallasisd.org
STEPS FOR A SMOOTH TRANSITION...
Report the damaged/inoperable Chromebook/Laptop to the Skyline Chromebook/Laptop Critical Care Clinic - G56A, (Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00 AM -11:00 AM and 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM)
Your Laptop will be assessed. If damage is beyond immediate repair, that unit will be collected and stricken from the student's device inventory.
At this point, the student's status will change to eligible. The teacher/staff will immediately apply for a new Chromebook/Laptop at: disd.service-now.com/sp/
Students should immediately report the emergency status to their teachers and counselor
The estimated turnaround time for delivery is determined by IT Client Solutions. Supply and demand will play an intricate part in the timing of the full process. Please feel free to call TAC at 972-925-5630 for an estimated delivery date, questions, or concerns.
Once the laptop is sent and arrives on campus, the awaiting student/teacher will receive word from our campus CAMS (Mrs. King/Ms. Brown - Library) to pick up your device.

Type "Uniflow" in the Search Bar
Select Graphics/District Copiers
Select "Uniflow Install" button
Uniflow will begin downloading
Select arrow of download and select "Open when Done"
Once opened in Word, select enable text/content
Scroll down and select Skyline HS
A prompt will ask for clarification of download. Agree
Confirmation pop up will solidify the process. Congratulations!!
Visit DISD Software Center on Laptop
Each user must download the PRINT DRIVER from the Dallas ISD Software center. Once installed, you will print by choosing the Paper Cut option in the drop-down menu.
Follow the prompts and Congratulations on your install
After the install is completed, it is time to activate your print card (if card is needed, see Mrs. Thurman)
Manually login into any campus Xerox Copier. Once you have logged in, take print card and scan over scan area to program it.
Your card is now set to scan/print to gain access, without the manual log in process.

Secure in classroom
All cables, connectors, adapters, etc. for Promethean and Newline Trutouch Interactive Displays are to be left in a secured location within the classroom. DO NOT carry these items home.
Unplug all power cords, ethernet lines from devices. Our facility crew will need clearance to clean floors and freely move furniture.

· Encourage students to bring their laptops during an old fashion device check week (Prior to testing week)
· Encourage students to report laptops lost or stolen to G56A or the Library (allow 2-3 business days for documentation procedure)
· Encourage students to bring laptops in need of repair to G56A. Once assessed, a replacement or repair will be determined by technology services.
· Encourage students to report chargers stolen, missing, or broken. Students must present broken chargers.
· Students are assessed for the first incident of a stolen laptop or charger at $0 cost.
· Replacements are possible for first-time incidents!!
