School Supplies for Frau's Class

Do I need school supplies for Frau's class?

There is a stockpile of general school supplies available for all students in Frau Dee's classes. This does not mean students shouldn't bring their own supplies! The general pen/pencil/notebook paper expectation is still in place.

To keep the classroom stockpile full, each student is asked to donate a pack of either pens or pencils and a box of tissues each semester. There will be Kultur Punkte awarded for these donations.

Do I need a computer for Frau's class?

COMPUTERS are a critical tool in ALL of our classes. Since DISD provides students with a personal computer, this is an EXPECTED classroom supply that students are expected to bring to class, charged, EVERY CLASS PERIOD.

What if I need to borrow a supply item?

There is a labeled supply cabinet in the classroom. AT AN APPROPRIATE TIME (not while Frau is talking or doing a direct teach) students are welcome to help themselves to the supplies as long as care is used and supplies are returned to the correct location.

If supplies are not returned and put away, the entire class will be warned about the behavior. After 3 warnings (strikes) the entire class will lose access to the supply cabinet.

What if I am constantly forgetting my expected classroom supplies?

If a student continually comes to class without the expected supplies, Frau Dee will have a conference with the student and potentially call home to find a solution. If the behavior continues, further interventions will take place to include a parent conference, conference with the principal, or possible detention.
