At the start of class each day students are expected to have computers open and signed into the GOOGLE CLASS.
The REISEPASS should be out on the desk. Students should have the WEEKLY AGENDA opened on the computer.
Students should plan on and spend the first 15 minutes of class completing the DO NOW activity for the designated class period.
Attendance will be taken at this time. Any work from the previous class period must be turned in during this time or will be considered late.
There are NO PASSES the first & last 15 minutes of each class period.
Students are to put their name, the time leaving and the 10 minute return time on the designated spot on the board. They take the pass and return it to the same spot upon return.
ONLY ONE student* is allowed out of the room at a time, so if the pass is gone students must WAIT for their turn.
*nurses passes are issued by the teacher and do not count in this number.
All students are asked to bring a pack of pens, pencils, and a box of tissues for the room supplies.
Students can earn Reisepass Points for classroom supply donations. See Frau Dee for specific details.
School supplies are stored in the labeled cabinet and students are welcome to help themselves to the supplies at an appropriate time when it is NOT DISRUPTIVE to the rest of the class.
ALL students ALWAYS HAVE HOMEWORK every day, including weekends.
Successful foreign language learning requires practice and repetition. Students are encouraged to spend at least 15 minutes a day reviewing the class work and practices. Websites and resources will be shared in class that students can use on their own to continue practice away from the classroom.
Any classwork NOT COMPLETED during the class period is considered homework and must be turned in BEFORE the start of the next class.
Each level is a year long course available to 7th & 8th graders to earn high school credit.
A semester course, required for all 6th graders, to explore various foreign languages in preparation for high school World Language study.
