The scholarships below are recommended for Conrad students but are NOT the only scholarships available. Scholarships are also listed on the Dallas ISD website and can be found through individual colleges, businesses, private and/or non-profit organizations, and more! The scholarship list will be updated as applications open and become available.
Read eligibility and requirements carefully. Apply for scholarships you are eligible for and that you can complete!
Request transcripts early. See your counselor if you need a paper copy. You should be able to download transcripts yourself now on Schoolinks or Greenlight Locker! See your counselor for help if you are not sure how to do this.
Request letters of recommendation early (2 weeks advance notice). Provide your recommender(s) with a copy of the application or a list of what must be covered in the letter if available. Some recommendations need to be completed online. Be sure to accurately input your recommender's information in these cases.
Watch deadlines. Make a calendar of upcoming dates. Scholarship committees do not accept incomplete or late applications.
Have an adult on campus (an English teacher, someone in the Go Center, etc.) look over your application and essay(s). View feedback in a positive manner. We all support you and want you to submit the very best application possible!

Dallas County Promise is a coalition of school districts, colleges, universities, employers, and communities that have joined forces to help more Dallas County students complete college and begin careers. Promise Scholars CAN be offered a last-dollar tuition grant to help reduce financial barriers present in accessing a postsecondary education at partner colleges and universities. Dallas County Promise DOES NOT COVER HOUSING. It is a LAST DOLLAR TUITION PROGRAM ONLY at PARTICIPATING COLLEGES.

Raise.me offers students the opportunity to earn "micro-scholarships" to specific colleges that participate in the raise.me program. Students create a raise.me account for free, select colleges of interest, and enter required information. Colleges give small amounts for different information entered by the student (types of classes, grades earned, community service, extracurricular activities, honors/awards, etc.) and amounts increase as more information is entered. Raise.me only works if students continuously update their information. Students can begin entering information as early as 9th grade.

The Terry Foundation is the largest private scholarship provider in the state of Texas. This award-winning scholarship program was founded to help outstanding students through access to quality education at 13 Texas public universities. Teacher Recommendation- This letter should highlight any skills or experience related to technology, computer programming or videogame design the instructor may have first-hand knowledge of. The recommendation letter might also make mention of any qualities the instructor has observed in the applicant that might lead him or her believe the applicant has an extraordinary chance at achieving their goals.
Community Member Recommendation- One letter of recommendation from an unrelated community member who can attest to the applicant’s community involvement. This letter should cite specific instances where the applicant has volunteered his or her time to the benefit of the local civic or church community, for example.
Essay- a 500-750-word essay explaining his or her academic and professional goals and how the scholarship will help to achieve them. Some information on past academic successes or even challenges that were overcome might also help the selection committee.
