What contents should I include in a course?

Course Repository Template (For Theoretical Courses)

Introduction (Rename General Section as Introduction)

Under Introduction include:

  • Welcome Note (It may be video/audio/document)
  • Course Summary and objectives (It may be video/audio/document)
  • Course Outline/Syllabus (document)
  • Course Requirements (document)
  • Course Assessment Plan (document)
  • Reference/Practice Books (document)
  • You may also include your Google Classroom Code if you are using it for any activity and student engagement for this course.

Topic Titles (Replace topics with Topic Titles)

Under each Topic Title include:

  • Topic Introduction (It may be video/audio/document)
  • Topic Objectives (document)
  • Lesson Plan for the Topic (document. Include how the topic objectives will be met along with activities and assessment plan)
  • Lecture Notes (It may be video/audio/document)
  • Activities (Online Assignment/Quiz/Presentation/Discussion Forum. You should also include instructions on campus activities if any.)
  • External resources if any (You may refer to useful links or reference for further study on the topic)
  • If you use any other application or services for student engagement, include instructions and access credentials here.

Once you covered all topics up to Midterm syllabus, include a section titled Midterm Instructions. Under it include:

  • Midterm Syllabus
  • Midterm Assessment Plan

Once you covered all topics up to Final syllabus, include a section titled Final Exam Instructions. Under it include:

  • Final Exam Syllabus
  • Final Exam Assessment Plan
