Dade County High School Shines at the 2023 Georgia State Youth Assembly! 

We're thrilled to share the exciting news about our outstanding representation at the 2023 Georgia State Youth Assembly, held from November 26th to 28th. Three of our own talented students were chosen to attend this prestigious event, where they showcased their dedication and leadership.

At the Assembly, students had the opportunity to submit bills for consideration and debate, with only 48 out of 600 bills making the cut. Amazingly, one of those selected bills belonged to our three DCHS students! Their hard work and commitment paid off as their bill successfully navigated through the Senate Committee, the Senate Chamber, and the House Committee.

Although the bill narrowly missed making it through the House Chamber to be signed by the Youth Governor, falling short by just 20 votes out of 450, the effort and achievement are truly commendable. Imagine the impact it could have had if it had become state law at the Georgia State Assembly!

This experience has officially made our DCHS students members of the Annual Youth Assembly. Inspired by their success, they are already planning to expand our representation next year at the 80th Annual Georgia State Youth Assembly.
