This research group focuses on usability investigations in information systems (IS) and built environments (BE). We consider both usability and UX (user experience), and human behaviour from a Human Factors/ Ergonomics approach. Research is oriented considering the Human-Centered approach in IS & BE and some related topics as accessibility; signaling systems; instructions; Plain language; human-computer interaction; and transports systems. HF/E and Design approaches and methodologies are considered in these contexts, defining an interface with other knowledge areas, as Information Design, Education, Architecture, and Transport Engineering.
