The following link takes you to the AP Score Table. To "qualify" in AP -to earn college credit - students must earn a 3. By earning a 3, students have demonstrated that they have the skills necessary to succeed in a collegiate environment.
Each year, high school teachers and professors nationwide apply to be part of the AP Reading. A rigorous application process takes place before exams are scored to decide who will be invited to the reading. From there, Readers will join in their respective locations and score exams for a week. The process requires intense training on the rubrics used to score the exam and inter-rater reliability is used to help ensure fairness and appropriate scoring.
