One of the least polarizing and most widely agreed-upon political subjects of this summer was the complete lack of fresh news regarding the Epstein files. Jeffrey Epstein is the late sex offender who was known for his private island, containing younger women, where he supposedly invited like-minded people and big names. He was charged with sex trafficking underage women, and he died in prison in 2019. His secrets of who he invited and who he talked to died with him. Oh… Wait.
The House Committee has recently released the long-awaited information. According to the BBC, 33,295 pages have recently been released from the Epstein files. The public finally gets all of the information our sitting president, Donald Trump, promised us months ago, right? Except that the vast majority of the “released” pages were the ones already public. President Trump’s name is not found on the 32,295 released pages, while over 100,000 pages are in the files. It is horrifically shocking that 32 percent of the willingly shared documents with the public do not have incriminating information regarding the president. Or is it?
According to the BBC, President Trump promised to release the files last year as part of his campaign. Now, as of Aug., we know that the FBI has quite literally redacted the President’s name from the files, as stated by Newsweek. Now, let’s examine who is in charge of the FBI. This (as informed by AP News) would be Kash Patel, our Attorney General, specifically appointed by President Donald Trump. However, we now know that this is insanely coincidental, and our president had zero involvement in these redactions.
No one has been pushing for the President to release these files because nobody really cares. Not to mention the forgettable birthday letter he sent to Epstein as a part of his “birthday book.” His “birthday book” is an explicit collection titled “The First 50 Years” compiled by his former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell. This list included well-known contributors, such as former President Bill Clinton and President Donald Trump, the two least controversial and most popular presidents of our modern age. An entry by Donald Trump includes a drawn picture of a naked woman, with the writing “A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret,” according to NBC. President Trump claims he did not write this letter and that he does not draw. Interestingly enough, some of Trump’s drawings have previously been sold in auctions.
Trump has recently labeled the Epstein files as “irrelevant”, as stated by ABC News. In the past, he has also claimed to have nothing to do with the letter and called this a democratic hoax. A subject that has remained a topic of discourse since before July is certainly irrelevant, and it surely does not matter that he was documented as one of Jeffrey Epstein’s greatest friends. His recent assertion that the Epstein files are irrelevant after his extremely dependable promise to release them in November has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Attorney General Pam Bondi informed him that his name was in the files during a briefing, as reported by The New York Times.
It is extremely sketchy-sounding, but generally speaking, the president has to be one of the most trustworthy people in our nation. This is completely an attention grab for the left. It’s doubtful that he could ever be involved, because he has never been found liable for any sex offenses before, right? Right? Cough, E.Jean Carroll, Cough.
Anyway, all this to say, didn’t we actually impeach Bill Clinton for an affair scandal with that White House intern? Not trying to sound 40 years older, but times have changed. Fortunately, we have a proper investigation going into this issue, and those guilty will serve fair and just repercussions, no matter their power or status.
